The bit nobody sees once the slab goes down. But the bit that decides whether the slab cracks in two summers. Cut to level, sub-base compacted, ready for the pour.

What's included

Slab prep is half the slab's life.

If the sub-base is soft or unlevel, the slab cracks. We compact it, level it, and confirm before the formwork goes on.

Site cut to depth. Set out, pegged, cut to engineer's level or standard 150–200mm depth.
Sub-base. Compacted crushed rock (CBR-tested if commercial), 100mm standard, watered and rolled.
Vapour barrier. 0.2mm membrane where the slab needs one (almost always).
Set-out + formwork. Strings up, formwork built, levels checked twice.
Direct hand-off to concrete crew. Same mob. No contractor swap, no scope gap.
